Abstract :
Presents some results of studies of the long-term distributions of radiorefractive index profiles in an approximately 2 km thick ground layer of the troposphere, over the coastal region of Poland. In this work attention was given mainly to distributions of the radiorefractive index at the surface and of its gradient in the near-the-ground layer of the troposphere and reference atmospheres. 20 years of data was taken into account in the analysis performed. The data originate from the radiosoundings of the Polish Meteorological Service in Leba and Koszalin, near the Baltic Sea coast. Radiorefractive index data have been estimated at the surface and at altitudes of 100, 200, 300, 600, 900, 1000, 1500 and 2000 m
