Abstract :
This paper presents a multi-rate FD-Line model for executing more efficient simulations of EMTs in power networks with multiple time steps. Basically, this line model takes advantage of its two decoupled-in-time Norton equivalents for splitting a power network in two resulting sub-networks for its subsequent parallel execution in a PC-cluster. These sub-networks are solved in the PSB/Simulink toolbox with cosimulations. Finally, the time-steps assigned to each sub-network are in full accordance with its internal dynamic.
