Abstract
This paper demonstrates the adaptive control in radar and wireless applications. In both areas, this type of adaptive control is applied when the number of antenna elements exceeds the number of available RF chains and some pre-receiver adaptive beamformer is required. The performance is achieved by means of sequential search for the most "profitable" position of the smallest control digit over the antenna aperture. Thus from the obtained results the potential capability of the switched control is processed for wireless and MIMO applications.
