Abstract :
In this paper, a prioritized radio resource allocation scheme is studied and analyzed for integrated services in terms of the connection-level QoS. The contributions of our work are threefold. First, a traffic model based on multi-dimensional Markov chain is developed to analyze the performance of integrated services. Second, considering the traffic characteristic of mobile users in different period, a radio resource allocation scheme combined with prioritized strategies is developed. And third, to improve system performance of diverse services, a couple of channels are reserved for different type of services considering their traffic characteristics. Simulation results are also provided for demonstrating that the proposed scheme can improve the system performance.
