Abstract :
The work presents a concept of PC-based measurement system which enables us to get significant insight into qualitative and quantitative analysis of incoming/outgoing traffic from LAN environment of department of telecommunications, AGH-UST. Some results depicting sent traffic volumes, interarrival time pdf, estimation of Hurst parameter are presented. We are carrying such measurements for years and obtained results allows to perform precise traffic characterization and modeling.
