Abstract :
Two groups of MATLAB code modules are developed to enhance students´ abilities in working with continuous and sampled-data systems. The two groups of code modules are: (1) gform.m (and its associated modules gadd.m, gsub.m, gmlt.m, gdiv.m, gfby.m, gfbe.m and ginvz.m) which enables users to manipulate transfer function blocks, each of which is described by a single 2D array argument; and (2) cdsim.m (and its associated function cdeqns and module cdrun.m) which enables users to obtain simulation results of systems described by two coupled sets of state equations, one set being in continuous time and the other in discrete time
