Abstract :
Sequential-valve-injection, an important plastic injection molding method, displays a great potential of controlling and eliminating the weld line. In this paper, the effects of technological parameters of sequential-valve-injection molding on weld line position control are researched. The result shows that both the opening time of valve gate and the injection time bring a greater influence on the weld line position control than other parameters, such as the mold surface temperature, the melt temperature and so on.
