Abstract :
Artificial graphite electrode used in the electric arc furnace steel-making are all constituted with short electrodes connected by graphite threaded connectors, Using performance of the connectors and quality safety (QS) in the production are both effected directly by connection precision. The structure of graphite electrode threaded connectors and joint holes are analysed in the text and a method of measurement is presented. The method is used to measure graphite electrode threaded connectors and joint holes by three chips ring gauge and two chips plug.
