Abstract :
This paper proposes using on-line observations to synthesize optimal scheduling protocols. An ATM-based real-time system is recast in the hybrid system modeling framework proposed in Stiver et al. (1994). The authors summarize their prior work in the on-line identification of optimal DES controllers
