Abstract :
This article describes the external AGC circuit algorithm based on EPLD and the VHDL program, designs digital AGC circuit in the front of the microwave receiver RF to extend the dynamic range of the receiver. After A/D conversion, the RF signal detector voltage designs VLSI, and outputs TTL signal which control digital attenuator. Constitute a closed loop AGC, to adjust the gain of the RF signal into the required dynamic range.
