Abstract :
An intuitive representation to understand the reflection phase of the reflectarray element was provided. By observing the incident, scattered and total electric field components of the unit cell reflectarray model, a better understanding of the reflection phase behavior was presented. Using the strategy, a 256-element reflectarray was successfully designed through simulations to act as a ground plane.
