Abstract
Reusing existing software components is a key feature in increasing software productivity. Firstly, this paper analyzed where functional reuse possibly exists from Functional User Requirements based on Function Point Analysis (FPA) and specially introduced the functional level reuse indicator. Then, the mapping rules between IFPUG FPA and Requirements Model are summarized. Synchronously, the counting rules are presented according to Requirements Model and Object Model of Object-Oriented Method to quantify the reused requirements. Finally, we illustrate the reuse metrics procedure in a case study of On-line Bookstore system.
