Abstract :
In this report, they propose a dual-band bent-folded-monopole antenna with chip-inductor and chip-capacitor. Chip lump components send down the antenna resonant frequency, leading smaller antenna size than a half-wave length of desired frequency. Calculations and measurements are taken to evaluate the performance, and we clarify that the proposed antenna shows proper dual-band characteristic. Furthermore, we show an example of the proposed antenna designed for GSM/UMTS bands.
