Abstract
A thin WPT system mountable on any flat objects has been investigated at 300MHz in various aspects. The metamaterial-inspired loop antenna is used for the WPT system. Due to the significantly increased magnetic field intensity of the proposed loop antenna, the maximum efficiency with two rings is 93.7 % at d=15 cm (λ0/6). The effect of additional two rings is about 30%. The decreased efficiency of WPT system is only 4-7% when materials (wood, plastic) are located between two antennas. This increases to about 30% when the hand model is used. The proposed WPT system is a good candidate for short range wireless power transmission.
