Abstract :
Embedded system applications have a constant need to reduce the power consumption to achieve longer battery life. When talking about Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), power-efficiency turns even more important because sometimes the WSN is deployed in unreachable places and it is a must to operate with energy harvesting. This paper describes strategies for offloading the core of unnecessary tasks in order to decrease the power consumption of an application.
