Abstract :
The modernization of low-voltage circuit breakers through solid-state technology has made significant strides during the 1980s. This has lead to the latest technological advancements being placed in old-style breakers to improve system coordination, increase selection, enhance reliability, and extend equipment life. Power management systems are also available for monitoring and controlling older electrical distribution systems. An introduction to the newer technology and equipment life extension opportunities available is given
