Abstract :
Handles the backscatter problem of the dusty medium in a similar way to that of Goldhirsh (1982). Nevertheless, the parameters needed to study the backscatter properties of the dusty medium are measured and revealed, which gives a more realistic solution for the problem in hand. Expressions to predict the backscattering cross-section area and clutter are given in terms of the visibility during the dust or sand storm rather than the number of particles, since visibility is generally used to measure the storm severity
