Abstract :
Information theory is used to identify the criteria for comparing software development processes. We then use the criteria identified to make assertions about the capability maturity model (CMM) developed by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University via-a-vis the extreme programming (XP) process developed by Kent Beck.
