Abstract :
INTELSAT utilizes a number of facilities for monitoring the performance of both its satellite transponders and the traffic they carry. There are facilities for measuring general performance such as the communications satellite monitor (CSM) and the remote spectrum analyzer (RSAN), and a specialized system for monitoring INTELSATs 120 Mbit/s TDMA system. These various systems are located at a number of earth stations around the world to provide global coverage of INTELSATs satellite fleet
