Abstract
This article summarize a part of work in relation with curricular redesign of the Computer Engineering career in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso. Our aim is to illustrate the methodology applied during the curricular modularization phase, point in which, as defined in the career profile, modules that account for competences are established. In this area, differentiating between a traditional curricular subject and a competence-based curriculum, becomes important.
