Abstract :
This paper describes the program recently started at INTELSAT for the establishment of a DAMA system, its primary international PSTN application and the system benefits. The DAMA system characteristics are described in terms of communication services support capabilities, network architecture, technical characteristics and features. Potential future system applications beyond the primary network role are briefly addressed
