Abstract
This paper is part of an going research on nonlinear phenomena associated with left-handed (LH) nonlinear metamaterials and in particular, left-handed nonlinear transmission lines (LH NLTLs). Preliminary simulation results are presented in order to investigate the feasibility of soliton generation in such a medium and provide a better understanding of the underlying physical mechanisms. Both cases of positive and negative nonlinearity are discussed.
