Abstract :
Visualization and analysis of power system synchrophasor measurement data helps to understand and improve the operation of a power grid. On the basis of the frequency and voltage angle measurements collected by widely-distributed frequency disturbance recorders (FDRs), visualization tools have been implemented for the frequency measurement network (FNET) system. Also, some visualization work has been done on the transmission-level voltage magnitude. However, since the distribution level voltage magnitude is usually considered to be local, few researches have paid attention to visualize it or analyze its pattern trend. This paper develops a solution method to produce replay videos based on FDRs´ normalized voltage magnitude data, and investigates the voltage magnitude pattern changes over the Eastern Interconnection (EI) during events and days by using archived data.
