Abstract
The advances in transmission and coding technologies will allow telecommunication network operators to provide customers with high bandwidth interactive services such as video on demand (VOD), home shopping, entertainment, work at home, etc. Several solutions based on different physical layers and network architectures have been proposed for delivering interactive services. Following this trend, we propose a new hybrid network architecture based on both satellite and terrestrial high capacity wireless communication. The main goal of the proposed system is to provide a network able to broadcast a wide range of interactive services nation-wide
