Abstract :
This paper focused on the degree of port´s specialization in Chinese five main port areas. This paper certified that the degree of port regional specialization in China was weakened by calculating port´s specialization indexes between regions, found out this change mainly come from the loss of advantages of petroleum& its products, coal and ore handling fields in Surrounding Bohai Bay Area by calculating regional specialization indexes. Irrational investments is the major reason resulted in the homogenization of port structure, that reduced the degree of regional specification and concealed the difference of factor endowment among regions, harmed the economic efficiency.
