Abstract :
Eigenvalue placement in a stable subregion of the s-plane is investigated for multivariable linear dynamic systems. A theorem that relates the bounds of a semi-annular region to the LQ performance index weighting matrices is used to develop a design procedure to relocate the eigenvalues. An example is included to demonstrate the successful implementation of the new method
