Abstract
Conventional methods of parameter determination of an induction machine are briefly described and discussed. The main principles of a method for rotor current zero detection are discussed and used to determine all induction machine parameters. The proposed method is able to measure all parameters for each operating point separately. The test is done at single-phase excitation, so that there is no need for the mechanical locking of the rotor. At high flux levels accuracy is degraded due to the nonsinusoidal rotor current waveform.<>
