Abstract
In order to help introduce students in Energy Conversion I to other areas of power, such as power electronics and power systems, these topics are briefly introduced in lecture. Two new lab experiments were introduced to facilitate the introduction to these areas. The lab setup and student activities are described. Other improvements to the OSU undergraduate power curriculum are also discussed, including an ongoing project to upgrade laboratory instrumentation using new dynamometers, digital acquisition of data, and computer control and visualization of data using LABVIEW
