Abstract :
In this contribution, an efficient finite element based domain decomposition method (DDM) is applied to analyze large electromagnetic problems with finite number of different building blocks. The method is based on three key ingredients: (a) the optimized Robin transmission condition across interfaces; (b) the new cement method for non-conforming triangulations and, (c) an fast dual-primal finite element tearing and interconnecting (DP-FETI) algorithm in conjunction with rank-revealing QR factorization. A plano-concave lens with negative index of refraction material (NIM) is studied to demonstrate the performance of the method
