Abstract
Social media has become part of people´s daily life. Humans are by nature is a social being. Through socializing with people surrounding them and communication between people is the key to the learning process. There is rising awareness that many of youths nowadays spending most of their time on social media communities. Since youth and learning are connected to each other, the characteristics of social media in inducing learning among youth needs to understood well. By doing this, we can help youth to learn using social media as well as socialize through the networks. This research will investigate the characteristic of social media and the advantage(s) of learning using social media. By integrating social media with learning objective, more interesting way of learning can be explored. Using social media to learn could provide opportunities for innovation and modernization to education sectors. Social interaction between social media communities has created an interesting virtual world to explore new knowledge and simplifying life.
