Abstract
Our quantitative approach to recovery procedures´ assessment considers combining the following parameters into the single index: availability of the recovered connections, assured quality of the backup path, recovery time, cost and traffic affected by a failure. A common framework of recovery quality is proposed and some guidelines on how to calculate it are presented.
