Abstract :
Develops an asymptotic formulation for the diffraction by perfectly conducting convex surfaces starting from a uniform approximation of the canonical problem radiation integral. The asymptotic solution for the field radiated by a line source in the presence of a circular cylinder is thus uniformly derived and formulated according to a ray-optic scheme
