Abstract :
It is difficult for the astronauts in a space capsule to control the outside robot under the real space condition. Multi-mode based human-machine interface is proposed to complete the task by the primary information of human being such as Electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG). Digital signal processor is adopted to process the information. EEG and EMG are sampled before their feature is extracted. The detail order is formed to control the machine such as robot. The speech recognition based on some fixed Chinese words is included in the device. Many tests under the simulated space condition in the lab proved that the developed system is capable to control the robot for key operation or stick control on a panel with reasonable reliability.
