Abstract :
Method-of-moments simulation is used to determine the electric field in a TEM cell. As the excitation frequency increases, the simulation shows the expected break-down in TEM mode behaviour. The research characterises the resonances in the TEM cell, in order to form a basis for determining ways to deal with resonances when using a TEM enclosure above the first resonant frequency. This is an important step in the process of producing a working hybrid TEM-reverberation immunity test facility, by preparing to utilise TEM and non-TEM behaviour at higher frequencies to provide a transition between TEM and reverberation mode operation
