Abstract :
In this paper, the preparation of red-emitting SrGa/sub 2/S/sub 4/ thin film phosphors was tried by using Sm/sup 3+/ ion as luminescent center. SrGa/sub 2/S/sub 4/ thin film phosphors activated with Sm/sup 3+/ (SrGa/sub 2/S/sub 4/:Sm) were deposited on quartz glass substrates by the multi-source (MSD) deposition technique.
