Abstract :
Two new algorithms of dilatation and connectivity preserving shrinking as a contribution to the resolution of the problem of the inspection of the printed circuit boards (PCBs) are presented. The algorithms developed are fast and achieve dilatation, shrinking, and connectivity preserving shrinking (CPS) in two iterations. The algorithm of PCB inspection does not require any synchronization, and its sensitivity to boundary irregularities and sharp corners can be controlled so as to avoid false alarms
