Abstract :
Screen printing processes are low cost approach to fabricate large size carbon nanotubes(CNTs) field emission display(FED). The traditional paste for CNTs field emission cathode mainly contains frit, which cement CNTs to the glass substrate. In this paper, we use the CNTs paste without frit to fabricate the CNT field emission cathode on the silver/glass substrate by screen-printing. This cathode is compared with the cathode fabricated with the traditional paste including frit in the field emission experiment on the diode structure. The result proves that the field emission properties of CNT cathode without frit are better than those of the cathode with frit.
