Abstract :
This paper describes the development of a gas-solids flow measurement setup with a suitable ultrasound Doppler flow meter used for teaching purposes. Main aim of the setup is to provide students a substantiated practical knowledge in the fields of pneumatic conveying of bulk solids and the measurement of gaseous and particulate velocities in two-phase flows. The acoustic flow meter and the camera-based reference system allow for a proper didactic support to foster comprehension of contents.
