Abstract :
We construct the probabilistic failure model of optical under determine attacks and random attacks from the type of attack in order to estimate vulnerable regions of the optical network. Based on the model, we find the vulnerable regions of optical network in the case of single or multiple simultaneous attacks by using greedy algorithms. Assuming the attack is circle-cut, we run a simulation on a real optical network topology from the view of geography distribution by MATLAB software. The simulation results show that our scheme can obtain the vulnerable regions while maintaining low complexity and the vulnerable regions are matched more than 97% with the regions get by optimal algorithm which needs exponent time in general.
