  • Abstract
A connectionist model of analogical reasoning, CAPS (Connectionist Analogical Problem Solver), is described. It is focused on short-term information structuring. It starts from some neuroscientific clues supplied by the neurophysiology of the prefrontal cortex. The basic automaton is not a formal neuron, but rather a model of the cortical column
