Abstract
A new generation of resonant grating filters called Cavity Resonator Integrated Guided Mode Filters (CRIGFs) were recently introduced. Such reflective filters exhibit high reflectivity with narrow spectral bandwidth even for tightly focused beams. This, combined with their large alignment tolerances make them ideal candidates for use as reflectors in cat´s-eye-configuration external-cavity setups, which are known to be much more stable and easier to use than the commonly used Littrow configuration.
