Abstract :
Considering the actual wireless channel conditions of High-speed Railway (HSR), it´s useful for setting up a novel scattering channel model, particularly in the fast fading channel and high moving terminal unit. Furthermore, we combine this model with orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system for its own unique advantages. Channel estimation is an important issue for wireless communication system of HSR. Based on the scattering channel model and exploiting its coherent sparsity of the fading channel, we perform the channel estimation by orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm. Simulation results show that the OMP method has obvious superiority over the conventional least square (LS) method and greatly decreases the pilot overhead burden.
