Abstract :
In order to promote Chinese language learning and improve the architecture of Chinese learning website to provide a better user experience, we analyze the web usage of a Chinese learning website using power law cumulative probability statistics for the first time. As the result, we find that several aspects of the web usage obey power law distributions, including the geographical distribution of users, the distribution of numbers of pages clicked by the users and the utilization of online Chinese learning resources. Then we analyze the preconditions and reasons for these kinds of distributions. This finding provides a novel point of view to understand the Web usage of Chinese learning website, and throw light to the improvement of the website´s architecture and thus the promotion of Chinese language.
