Abstract
The paper describes the design and development of a 1950-2150 MHz 10 W amplifier using combline resonators for impedance matching networks at the input and output ports. The design was initially simulated using Microwave Office v.2002 software, from Applied Wave Research Inc., indicating its feasibility. A commercial power FET was used for the amplifier. Experimental results obtained indicate that the amplifier is stable, has good input and output matching that result in the input and output return loss greater than 20 dB. The output power achieved is about 10 W.
