Abstract :
This paper presents a novel Ku-Band low profile antenna system for mobile sitcom. The antenna is designed in the shape of a four-to-one rectangle based on planar antenna array. The method of beam scanning tracking is used which is simple and efficient. The antenna can mechanically scan the communication satellite automatically from 0° to 90° in elevation and 360° coverage in azimuth, achieving remote and uninterrupted communication of multimedia data. This paper gives the antenna system components and basic principles. The theoretical analysis and engineering design is described in detail. Experimental results verify the antenna has a high performance for mobile sitcom.
