Abstract :
Experimental implementation of a fuzzy logic controller for a direct self control of an induction machine is presented. The controller was implemented with a single-board computer that uses the TM320C14 DSP (digital signal processor). The experimental results for fuzzy control are compared with those of the conventional direct self-controller. The starting flux and torque response and the responses to step changes in command torque with fuzzy implementation show a considerable improvement over the conventional control. The steady-state response with the fuzzy control is similar to the steady-state response with the conventional direct self-controller
