Abstract
This paper presents a target tracking method based on cognitive waveform parameters design. Firstly, the state model and the measurement model are constructed with the moving state and the parameters of transmit waveform. Then, the particle swarm optimization particle filter is used to track the target which has a good performance on reducing the number of particles and degeneracy. On the basis, the radar waveform parameters are further cognitively designed using Posterior Cramer-Rao bounds method. Simulation results show that the proposed method can accomplish the tracking better compared with traditional method.
