Abstract :
A new triode structure for field emission displays based on CNT emitters was described. The high quality mica plate was used as insulator between grid and CNT cathode. The CNT were screen-printed over the cathode silver layers to form the field emitters. The new field emission displays with the mica plate as insulator had been successfully demonstrated, which possessed high luminance and steady emission current. Modulation of electron emission from the CNT emitters by the gate voltage was confirmed.
