  • Abstract
    In view of the aging phenomena, a test system was established to forecast the residual life of the retreaded tire matrix based on the finite element simulation and performance tests of the loading-bearing capacity for the retreaded tire. The method was discussed to design and identify the safety factor of the matrix residual life. It can be achieved about life forecast of the tire carcass in establishing the compound material laminated structure model of load-vehicle retreaded radial tire, the finite element simulation analysis model and testing methods, and in simulating and identifying the used matrix remaining life factor of safety, and in setting up the stiffness coefficient database of the new tire of the same brand, type and specification under the standard load and tire pressure conditions. The method proposed in this paper can predict the residual life of old tire matrix without being renovated and identify whether the retreaded value of old tire or not, which bring a scientific basis for tire rethreaded companies when choosing old tire matrix; and moreover it can forecast the residual life of retreaded tire in view of the different matrix aging, which provides the effective method for the residual life appraisal and prediction of retreaded tire; and then it can present the actual service time and the real use situation that aren´t obtained by tire retreaded companies, and determine the safety coefficient of the residual tire life scientifically. And moreover, the 11.00R22.5 retreaded tire was adopted to verify the effect of prediction method. The result indicts that the method is practical and feasible, which provides a theoretical reference in predicting the life of the retreaded tire matrix.
