  • Abstract
    In this paper, we focus on the service-oriented encapsulation of multi-granularity heterogeneous resources, aiming at offering more pervasive services using existing resources, and also providing fast access to these services even in a wireless/mobile environment. We first introduce a novel architecture of service container for providing a running environment for services. We then propose efficient methods for encapsulating component-level, process-level, subsystem-level software resources into services. Extensive results show that our methods can be much more efficient than common web-service based resource encapsulation in both wired and wireless environments.
